Root & Rise: A Framework for Families
Most parents are aware of the numerous resources available for managing behavior and responding in-the-moment to their children. There are resources for how to stop tantrums, toilet training, fine motor skill development, sensory play, etc. While individual strategies are helpful, my framework encourages a perspective that is both foundational and larger scale.
Family life is not a set of behaviors to manage in ourselves and our children, it is a living system to tend. A small eco-system in which each family member impacts the others, and foundational nourishment impacts larger family values and goals.
My work with families is rooted in this idea. Parenting shouldn’t center scripted responses or strict behavioral methods. We want to work toward creating conditions where everyone in the family can regulate, connect, and grow together. That belief is the heart of my course, and it shapes everything I teach.
